Job Description

Constellation is seeking a qualified professional with proven experience and results to join our Billing team as an Analyst, Billing to be located in the Houston office. The Billing Analyst function is responsible for creating and managing retail electricity invoices for customers throughout North America. Within the team, the Production Billing senior analyst is responsible for creating retail electricity invoices by prioritizing, analyzing, and resolving system generated work queues within the Billing application, analyzing and resolving issues within the unbilled reports, resolving invoice processing errors, and providing customer level support. The analyst is also responsible for assisting management with the testing and implementation of system and process improvements. Review, analyze and resolve open work queues to enable accurate and timely invoicing of customers.Provide customer level support by researching and responding to customer inquiries, including providing customer specific management, reporting, and account reconciliations.Review, analyze, and resolve unbilled cycles, including working with other functional groups as needed.Manage customer specific manual and summary bills.Provide communication and training to the team (including new employees) on system and process changes and enhancements.Assist management with the testing, and implementation of system and process issues and enhancements.Identify billing discrepancies and take necessary actions to resolve.Ensure that all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Key Controls and other company policies are followed.Bachelor¿s degree, plus 2-3 years¿ work experience or equivalent combination of work experience and/or education Knowledge of the North American retail electric industry.Solid computer background/experience, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills required)Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with internal and external parties is required.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.Customer service orientation, serving internal and external clients.Excellent attention to detail.Capable of working independently and taking ownership of the Billing function.Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload.Prior experience in the retail energy industry, including knowledge of products and processes.Strong knowledge and experience with Excel and Access
